Episode 17: Tara Normal and Howie Noel

This week I interview comic writer and creator of the Taranormal series, Mr. Howie Noel. We talk about what’s it like going from a web comic to a real comic, and ghost hunting, and some of the challenges of having a successful kickstarter.

  1. Taranormal sounds like a neat character and storyline. The comic story also sounds like it could make a good movie or show, too.
If it does, hopefully it will be made into a motion picture, first. In my opinion, the successful outcome of a movie can determine the success of the show based on the movie, which in turn may determine how long the show may last.
And, I think that this depends upon how different and authentic the story is. Because, if the show is similar to a show such as: Ghost Whisperer, etc., it could suffer a drop in ratings and eventually get cancelled because it would be like all other shiws like the Ghost Whisperer. Next, I loved Ghostbusters. I especially like their T-shirts. As far as Mad Magazine goes, that ugly red headed freckle faced kid was funny enough to make me laugh as a kid because he was so ugly.
I don’t know which face is more comical: The Mad Magazine kid or Carrot Top!
